Guest guest
Hello, My ASD daughter suffers from asthma and allergic rhinitis. We've been addressing her asthma with the blue and the brown inhalers but the allergic rhinitis is keeping us all awake in the night. I know she's allergic to dust mites but have never covered the bedding (I change it frequently). Does anyone have recommendations for the best coverings to buy for mattresses, duvets and pillows? I saw one that actually kills the mites but of course will steer clear of that for fear of chemicals. Thanks. Holly
Guest guest
Hi Holly I have had many years of good service from cotton barrier bedding, bought from healthy house. It has been very effective at stopping rhinitis, sniffles excema ,streaming eyes etc. I bought mattress covers, quilt covers ,and pillow case protectors. It is very dense cotton that doesn't allow mites through and does not contain any chemicals. It was a bit pricey but has lasted for 15 years.I believe you can get some discount from Healthy house if you are a member of Treating Autism. Have also tried Boots barrier bedding but it was vastly inferior and didn't wash well or last long. best wishes Kath Sent from my iPad
