Guest guest
What really frustrates me is that my little girl has had this cough for at least 7 weeks - before Christmas. It gets better, but then she has a relapse. I kept taking her in and they kept sending her home. I've been to the doctor atleast once every 2 weeks or so. 3 weeks ago they gave her albuterol and it seemed to get better. Now, she is coughing so hard that she sometimes vomits. That could be why she vomits when she gags on the antibiotic now. She's become a hair trigger with that little stomach of hers. I think they gave her antibiotics because they didn't know what else to do. The nurse practitioner told me they were giving it to her " just in case " . She said that a viral infection, if it sits long enough can build up bacteria and become a bacterial infection too. Makenna doesn't have a fever though. Ironically the few days she didn't cough at all, she had a fever.... Who knows. They never tested her for RSV. I wonder if I should bring that up with the doc? > In a message dated 2/14/2003 4:10:10 PM Eastern Standard Time, > gsandc@e... writes: > > > They sent her > > home with albuterol syrup and an antibiotic.
