Well Dustie a lot happened during my 2 hour nap (I was up all night)!

I'm glad it's all worked out although the ortho's response sounds

like a CYA statement.

If they billed you 4 days after the initial visit, why did they

charge for 2 bands? Did they already know the first one was going

to be big enough for an adult?

I think we can all learn a lesson from this! Check all those EOB

forms you get from your insurance company to make sure what was paid

was performed. I know we have been charged for things that never

happened. A lot of insurance companies just pay not knowing the

situation.

Just think what a mess this would have caused if the DOC band hadn't

been paid yet. The STARband ortho would have gotten her money and

would have made a big mess for you!

Well at least it all ended up okay. Hopefully Aetna will be

suspicious of future billings from this ortho!

Yes my dear watson, a lot did happen. I questioned that myself. The

amount of the billing was a mistake as well. IT WAS ALL JUST HUGE

MISTAKE!! I'm still dumb-founded and I am still mailing them a

letter regarding my intentions, just in case they missed it the first

time or they figure it was all just a dream that Dustie

contacted them regarding this " mistake " . lol Man, I swear, this is

why I drink!

I thought maybe he had an ear infection, but he doesn't. Just his

teeth. He decided 1 am was a good time to get up for the day.

I don't know what bugged me more, the lack of sleep or the parents

who didn't control their kids in the lobby at the peds. The poor

little munchkin was ran over twice and pushed down once. He has a

nice knot on his head.

Well at least they had an explaination. I don't know if I buy it

though. How could they have charged $3000.00 4 days after when they

didn't know at that point that would be getting a second band?

Dear Calming down

I just really want to say how impressed I am with Aetna's handling of

this entire situation! They've really helped you out with this -

something that very very rarely happens when it comes to our plagio

kids & insurance companies. Nice to hear for a change - hats of to Aetna!

Glad it's all taken care of Dustie -- as I had thought, it wasn't

Orthomerica's error at all, just your buds at Hanger

Well I know that!! , I told her it was fishy and asked that
