I've looked through my files and cannot find the study that showed a deficiency of Vit D correlated to generalize muscle aching. As a physical therapist, this was of course of interest to me. I will keep looking for that study in my files. However, you might want to consider a Vit D supplement. I know, it sounds too simple, no? Of course, there may be other causes, but I think it's worth a try. Good Luck.

Since becoming infected, some 4 years ago, I've lived with chronic muscle pain, not dissimilar to the soreness of having worked out. It bothers me regardless of whether I work out or not. I've also had an extremely difficult time building muscle mass since becoming infected. With acute HIV infection (first symptoms), I had lost 18 lbs in two weeks. Feeling way too skinny, and being told by 3 different docs to gain weight, I went about it the wrong way, forcing myself to eat more. Reaching a peak weight of 184lbs (155-160 feels healthy for me), but having a body fat percentage that shot up from 12% to 28%, I'd never felt more unhealthy/unhappy with my body. I've since seriously taken up a workout routine over the last year, and only been able to bring my BF% down 22%, and my weight has hardly changed. I've talked to my doc about HGH, and he seems highly opposed to the idea, since my Testosterone levels are in the normal range. DHEA seemed

to help some, though. Tribulus seemed to have no effect at all. The thing that really bugs me more than BF% issues, though, is living with chronic musle pain, whether I'm working out or not. It seems to take particular toll in my legs/butt and hands. It seems particularly bad when I'm sick, where the pain goes from a dull constant ache to just about unbearable without large doses of advil (800mg every 4-6 hours). Any thoughts/suggestions?
