Sharrie,

Thank you for the advice.

I might give it a try.

Jo

2009/1/10, Sharrie Hanley :

I would try a C4 wide inhibit

so this would be a one channel two inhibits and one reward

one inhibit being 2-11Hz and the other one being 11-20 Hz

then reward about 9.5-12.5Hz

if within 5 minutes you should see the shoulders drop and relaxation occur

if the child begins to yawn then move the bandwidth up .25 to 9.75-12.75

if the child still seems " on a roll " then move it down .25 to 9.25-12.25

this is actually a combination from three people that i have learned from and i have put together

seems to work well for many of my clients

other option would be a C4 P4 (my clients call this the Calgon Bath!) or a C4 Pz for aggressiveness

depending on the situation

I would however first try above all to do an asmnt no matter the age

you would be surprised how well kids can do for an asmnt

if the asmnt is still out of the question then i would look at other areas of possible disregulations through symptoms the parent gives you

also as a parent - don't bring attention to it it may be a psychological ploy!!!!!!!

best of luck

Jo,Then I would go with Sharrie's suggestion. Inhibit everything at Cz/A2 (you can do with one or two or more bands) and start with SMR around 9-12 Hz and see if you can get a response. Also, you should be doing HEG before every session, starting with 10 minutes and going up a minute every week or so. It may take a while to see response to this, but he needs it.

The key may well be to pick one thing and keep doing it rather than trying many different things.Good luck; these guys are the toughest!Pete-- Van Deusenpvdtlc@...

Pete,

Thank you for answering, Pete.

It is impossible to do the assessment with him.

He cannot sit still.

He often toughes electrodes without even knowing.

He grinds teeth.

He has done 25 sesseions.
