How many times, when we make a complaint about HIV med side effects... have we heard from health care professionals and the drug makers "oh, well just be thankful these drugs are available...or "shut up and just take your meds" ?

If these side-effects were being experienced by the general population for any other medical reason the "general population" would have a major fit and the drug companies might be forced to look into further research on a solution.

Oh, that's right...people with HIV are in the 'who gives a rats-ass class". If I had cancer and take chemo...I know I might lose my hair...at least I know it's gonna grow back. And how many newly-diagnosed hiv + patrons do we know who are scared to death to take these meds, as if they were borne out of a toxic waste dump ?

It's been over 15 long years, folks since your Dr's and the FDA has known about about the physiological repercussions from these drugs...and there have been no answers or solutions. Moreso...seems like they're to the point of avoiding the subject. Why ? Shut-up and take your meds ? Not me.

I'm not trying to stop anyone from taking their hiv meds, nor am I trying to hinder anyone from beginning an anti-retroviral medicine regimine. But, hey...what's next ? We gonna be happy with 3 heads and 18 toes all for the sake of being "healthy" ?

Ladies & gentlemen...it's time to speak-out and demand at least more research on these side-effects, if not the definate cause and solution ! Maybe a huge class-action lawsuit would get some attention. I'm ready to make some waves, are you ?
