we done ABA in the past and it was really good for DS but unfortunately founding was lost and I could not continue it privately with a level of input that would be relevant to make progress so we change to RDI because I just came across a therapist that moved into our area so there no travel costs for starters ....and DS really made a lot of progress in the last year. The good thing about RDI is that everyone can do it from high to low functioning and all ages I have seen footage of adults even ( a friend who's kid is severe says that the best therapy done with him was RDI) it all depends of the complexity that you do the objective .....I often have to break down the objective to bare simple with DS so he can access it but it is worth in the end.

At the moment I am a bit frustrated as once again they have change the system and at the moment the resources that you have to guide you are very limited compared with what we used to have ( footage from other families to webnars) and that does impact on the therapy, but give it a few more months and it should be up and running again.

I have to say that I like ABA and RDI and do not discard it until you have tried all can be a bit overwhelming at the beginning but with time you get the hang of it.
