Guest guest
Hi all, I have just been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid gland amongst other things. I already take one kelp tablet a day. Knowing how knowledgeable you all are, anyone any suggestions as to what else I can try as it is seriously causing me leg muscle problems. Many thanks. Guest guest
, Our doc recommends, selenium[200mcg+], zinc, tyrosine, iodine[we use 5% lugols 3-5 gtts/day; or else iodoral] omega 3s and antioxidants. If thyroid is out to lunch bc of mercury, then chelation. For 2 of us, the synthetic replacements were no good at all[weight gain, hair loss, sluggishness etc. The naturals also have drawbacks - Nature tyroid=milk component; Armour which worked well for over 10+ y changed in 2006 and no longer helped. NP thyroid is just starting w one here so we ll see. http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/iodine/ and http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/NaturalThyroidHormones/ have been helpful groups for me. > > Hi all, > > I have just been diagnosed with an underactive thyroid gland amongst other > things.
