Guest guest
Hi : I'm glad Caleb did not need to be hospitalized or given an IV amd even took some fluids from the Dr! Kids are so funny like that! I hope he gets better today. Please keep us posted. Debbie Abby's mom DOCGrad MI > Thanks to everyone for their advice. We are back home. She, our Ped, was very apprehensive about giving Caleb an IV. She agreed he was dehydrated. She did manage to get him to drink. It was the exact same stuff I had here at home!! She said that often a change in environment is what is needed. He wanted a grilled cheese and fries on the way home and ate those. He was so tired when we got home that he laid down on our family room floor to sleep. I picked him up to carry him to his room and he started coughing. He coughed so much and so hard he was vomiting......UGH!!! Hopefully though we are on the right track. My DH will be home tomorrow with the boys so maybe I can escape for awhile. They did suggest applesauce, bananas, etc...it has a lot of water and will help keep him hydrated. Thanks again. > > in SW Missouri > Caleb 2 1/2 and Lucas 12 months (starbanded 1st time 8/26/2 and banded 2nd time on 12/12/2) > (m) > > > > If Caleb has not had any wet dipes since yesterday you need to get him in! They'll hydrate him & he'll probably feel like a different kid.I have BTDT when my 5yo had his tonsils out.He wouldn't drink,he was urinating some but it was very concentrated & he was listless.I took him into the ER & they hydrated him & it turned him completely around.I had thought he was feeling so bad from the surgery but it was actually from the dehydration. > So,please, take him in! > Kelli > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > > > > For more plagio info

Im just very glad she is not miserable in that nursing home any longer. Don't be surprised, though, of the grief you'll feel. . . it'll happen and it's okay. Beth
