Guest guest
I'm researching for my upcoming IEP and I'm wondering if the latest reauthorization changed any aspect of LRE, more importantly, access to general ed curriculum? What I'm most concerned with is if the new law changes any aspect of the following from IDEA '97: --each child with a disability be removed from the regular educational environment only when the nature or severity of the child's disability is such that education in a regular class with the use of supplementary aids and services cannot be achieved. --IDEA does not require that a student demonstrate achievement of a specific performance level as a prerequisite for placement into a regular classroom --Before a disabled child can be placed outside of the regular educational environment, the full range of supplementary aids and services that if provided would facilitate the sutdent's placement in the rgular classroom setting must be considered. TIA, Debi 's Little Sister ISBN 1-4137-1724-1 www.debityree.com Some of our families have been told to put their child into an institution. We're hoping for Harvard. http://www.tacanow.com/VIDEO.htm
