Guest guest
I think we should appreciate that autism is in the "forefront" of the news media these days. After all, just getting the word autism out there is great! Just a few years ago the average person had never heard of the word autism, and when our kids were diagnosed, how many of us heard, "Oh well, it COULD be worse, you know..."? For 60 Minutes to give parents' concerns the least bit of validation is a big step, no ---a giant leap! Let's try looking at this in a positive way, instead of bashing CBS for not giving more time to the idea that the MMR can cause some kids to have autism. I for one do not believe that vaccines caused MY child's autism, but I do not discount it as A cause of autism and I support the efforts of those who are calling for the vaccines to be split into single doses and I also support the need for more research into the vaccine-autism link.
