Packing for self and 4 kids on spectrum is harder than working full time job. I to be exhausted and we to not be to even leave yet. Had to buy many things to help each of my childrens cope the trip and transitions and so it cost much to just get packed. I to think maybe paid over 500 in just packing needs for us all to cope the trip. My Aimee will be the hardest because she gets easily frustrated and gets of car sick. MOst of the sensory needs we to buyed were for to make the trip as easy for her as we can be so to help reduce of the meltdowns from her. The husband to knows to prevent me to meltdown to give me water, ocean and pools and will calm down with the deep rpessure of the pool water. I to pray my trip with 4 childrens 3 of them teens will be of good for us all but panic is already building in me and had of much issues to language this day and have had of migraine for last 3 hours even tough took of pain reliever. I to be feeling sick to tummy now because anxiety is building as even though prepared for trip my body is more aware of the need to transition and that is hard for me too. thanks for the welcome back. I to feel the others here on spectrum have much to offer here too. They have been of silent lately. I to hope they become of chatty soon. I found the no 1 voted tattoo parlor in my town, ROFL! We have an offbeat entertainment mag that has wierd categories for fun. Anyway, the artist said with all the colors and detail it would have to be fairly large, but she could do something modified because I didn't want large. So she drew up a design that still looks like a few puzzle pieces with the different colors. I had her draw it on its side because to me it represents how we can see Christ in all things even if we have to really look from different angles. (the ribbon on its side is the same shape as the Jesus fish symbol.) If you wanna see a pic, email me and I'll email it to you.
