She volunteers at my granddaughter's school. She has a really great keyboard and plays for the children once a week. She feels she could be doing more or maybe getting more from them by playing songs that they can participate in....like " The Wheels on the Bus " . If anyone has any suggestions about songs that would encourage some interaction by the children (ages 2-5) we'd really appreciate it. Also for anyone that has tried music as an intervention, I would love to hear from you regarding how it benefited your child and how the program was setup. Guest guest Posted June 20, 2000 Report Share Posted June 20, 2000 June, I thought of one more fun musical activity we do, it would work great with any size group...play any kind of upbeat music and pass a ball or beanbag, or kids can dance alone or in partners...stop the music at random intervals-- when the music stops everyone freezes. If you're doing the beanbag pass you can have the person with the beanbag do something like put it on their head or hold it in the air when the music stops.
