Guest guest
Wonderful news , thanks for posting Sam was great this Christmas, eating a full dinner with all the trimmings with us at the table for the first time and we had goose which none of us had ever had before (cooked by my dear friend and chef Celia). He didn;t even need to pinch me when eating the veg! Mandi x I just want to take a moment at the end of my Christmas Day to extend heart-felt thanks to all the inspirational parents on ABE. Since the Andy Cutler conference in June, we have completed 13 rounds of chelation on our 14 year-old DS and witnessed so many subtle improvements that altogether they paint a promising outcome. In past years we've tried numerous interventions, but without sustained improvements. So, for the sake of self-preservation, I'd stopped searching and settled for not raising hopes that leave you vulnerable. But recently we've noticed that his sentences are getting longer and he'll actually stand still to concentrate on what he's trying to say. He has asked a few questions starting with a `wh' word, used the correct pronoun and even responded to instructions after only one hearing. Three years of ABA could not achieve what chelation has achieved in 6 months! This reflective time of year usually leaves me choked and soaked in s, but this year has me hugging memories and daring to hope for 2012 (although still soaked in s!) Many thanks, ABE angels! Guest guest
Arh this is all fab news guys, thanks for sharing, we had a good time this year too, Harry opened his presents unaided and even "helped" open mine. I bought him a thomas the tank engine track set, which took me ages to set up, it has a helter skelter thingy one end and you press the button at the top which releases and makes a wonderful tune as flies down the helter skelter, Harry was full of (Apropriate) grins, soooo great to see my little boys face all alight with joy, even if he only played with it for approx 5 mins, its 5 mins more than he has ever played before, i also bought him a fisher price rampaway and he has been spotted playing independently with this, again for only a few mins here and there but who cares, slowly slowly catchy monkey! 73 rounds of DMSA/ALA chelation completed and prior to that 16 rounds of TD-DMPS Here's wishing us all a fantastic 2012 where our children will blossom even more, i will be raising my glass to all you warrior parents on New Years eve, as it is ABE, the support we receive from like minded people and progress stories like these that keep us all going. x To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe From: Mum231ASD@...Date: Thu, 29 Dec 2011 04:05:50 -0500Subject: Re: Warm thanks...
