Just posting on to see if anyone's kids have gone off on one with kirkmans P5P? It's the only new supplement I have introduced recently and H keeps having real anger bursts and meltdowns. Happy one min and really upset the next. I am going to stop the p5p to see if this helps. It could just be all the hype of Xmas and change of routine any ideas of anything to calm him down would be great!! Doing a mini clearout but pretty sure its not loading.

Yes, major problem here, have tried it several times, even swapped for B6 but in 's case for whatever reason all B's are a huge problem, giving in itsy bitsy build ups have been no better. It takes about a week to get back to normal after supplement reactions so don't expect to see an immediate improvement although you may do. There was a big discussion on LOD about this, can't really remember the why's and wherefore's but worth checking out anyway's, I know it's a discussion I want to re-visit after xmas to see if I can find some answers.

Mine got very difficult on P5P, flapping and aggressive,

once we stopped he settled down quite quickly. Tried again after few years was

less severe reaction, but still much more stressed than usual. He also did not

do well on suprenuthera from Kirkman (possibly b/c of the b’s) and on

other multivits, Brainchild has been OK though.

My son reacts badly to most (if not all B vits), however testing shows he is deficient inmost of them.  There is info in Rosemary Warings research on sulphation re: p5p.If there is a sulphation problem p5p is needed but you will negative reactions unless given with correct ratio of mg.  Kirkman do a P5p with mg glycinate in correct ratio.

If there is a CBS upregulation (which my son has severe verson of) p5p will increase this problem.  We manage by giving a very small dose (just 5mg   - around 1/10 cap) of the kirkman p5p with mg).  This small amount really does make a difference - he has seizures without it.  If I increase it he reacts badly.

P5P is needed along with active folate (folinic acid) and B12 for methylation. Following enzymes adding these in low dose were the next wow! moment for my son.  Still struggling to get other B vits on board but as we are correcting mehtylation (through yasko) we are slowly adding in some seperately.
