Guest guest
Yes i find this a strange one - both my 2 older girls had this and eventually it cleared up (took months and months), then my 2 year old appeared with the rash towards the end of last year - some time since the girls had had rash, i'm guessing it lays dormant in the system and then can reinfect those who haven't had it. Haven't used anything to clear it as it does clear itself -but takes some time to do so and if it's touched alot have noticed it spreads really easily to other nearby areas. Janet Molluscum Contagiosum Hi, Just wondering if anybody has had this - C had this for about 2 months now, and although doc says it'll proably self heal, am just wondering if anything natural could be used It's a skin infection caused by a pox virus. Thanks, Elaine

Guest guest
Hi Elaine,My daughter had this and it took well over a year to go! The doctor told us just to let it clear up on its own. However, someone else posted about this last year and another member recommended treating it with tea tree oil. I think they said it took a couple of weeks to clear. Some other ideas were given too so best check past messages.Good luck SueSubject: Molluscum ContagiosumTo: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Date: Monday, 23 January, 2012, 12:06 Hi, Just wondering if anybody has had this - C had this for about 2 months now, and although doc says it'll proably self heal, am just wondering if anything natural could be used It's a skin infection caused by a pox virus. Guest guest
My daughter had awful molluscum which regularly got inflamed and sore. Our homeopath tried her on silica and her whole body cleared of it within 2 months. May be worth a go. > > You could try Neem, the man at neemgenie is very helpful. Guest guest
Elaine, This was our first sign that we had a viral child on our hands. Nothing, including neem that we did would clear it up. After a year of trying to get it to go away, including neem, after one week on Immunovir, it went. Medical professional try to pooh-pooh it but it was a big red flag in our case. We tested for viruses and he had the lot (and no MMR) Eileen > > Hi, > > Just wondering if anybody has had this - C had this for about 2 months now, and although doc says it'll proably self heal, am just wondering if anything natural could be used > It's a skin infection caused by a pox virus. > Thanks, > Elaine >

Guest guest
what cleared this up on my daughter in three weeks, was aloe, drinking 30 ml twice a day and rubbing aloe and propolis on the skin after every bath. it worked like magic. generally i would suggest to boost immune system too and certainly supplement extra zinc. karenza > > > > Hi, > > > > Just wondering if anybody has had this - C had this for about 2 months now, and although doc says it'll proably self heal, am just wondering if anything natural could be used > > It's a skin infection caused by a pox virus. > > Thanks, > > Elaine > > >

Guest guest
Hi ElaineTwo of my sons have had this in recent months, the older had it first and I used Tea Tree Oil - he had a nasty infection, large spots on his side and arm. I applied the oil in the evening after his bath, he didn't find it irritating and the rash went completely within 3 weeks. My middle son has it at the moment - he is my boy with ASD, I'm doing the same and it is also clearing up. Good luck with it.P.S GPs said there was nothing we could do to treat it - just to wait......Jayne To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Sent: Monday, 23 January 2012, 12:06 Subject: Molluscum Contagiosum Hi, Just wondering if anybody has had this - C had this for about 2 months now, and although doc says it'll proably self heal, am just wondering if anything natural could be used It's a skin infection caused by a pox virus. Guest guest
My question is on this thread, it might well clear up on the surface but what has it done to the immune system if a child is immunocompromised. Its a pox virus? That's why it was an important clue for us that something was going on. Its meant to be common in kids, which is what they say about viral titres, but we know the impact they have on certain children.
