Guest guest
Hi Hope, Welcome to the group. I live in Bristol, Tennessee. What part of NC are you from? I have had asthma pretty much all my life, too. I was firmly diagnosed about 19 years ago. So, you're not taking meds anymore? How do you control your asthma? I take Advair, Singulair, and use Albuterol in an inhaler and nebulizer. Take care, Hope Knott wrote: Hi Alana, Thank you for the welcome. Where are you from? Guest guest
Hi . I'm in Asheville, about an hour from the Tennessee line. My husband says your about 2 hours away from us. I was on Singulair very briefly because I found that it actually made my asthma worse. I haven't used the Albuterol inhaler but once in a year which is really great because I was going through 2 a month. I am still on my Advair but I only have to use it now about once every other week sometimes once a week if the allergies are acting up. About a year ago a friend introduced me to an amazing wellness company. They specialize in all non-toxic personal care products and household products. Since they are a licensed pharmaceutical company, they are also able to manufacture a line of vitamins as well. I was very skeptical about trying them but I figured why not, I listened to their presentation and figured with their money back guarantee if I didn't like the stuff, I'd send it back. I actually kept the box the products came in because I knew they couldn't work as well as what I was getting at the grocery and I was going to send everything back. Well, wow I was surprised all of the products worked as well and even better then they told me. So instead of putting their products back into the box, I put the grocery store stuff in the box and left if for the trash man. About two weeks later I started noticing a decrease in the inhaler and a decrease in my symptoms. It's been a little over a year since I got all the non-toxic products out of my house and the whole family is doing better. We are taking the companies vitamin pack call "Daily for Life" as well. All of our headaches are gone. Both kids are off their allergy meds. My husband and I are both off of all of our meds with the exception of the Advair. I was taking prevacid for my stomach. My husband was taking two other prescription for his stomach and one for high blood pressure. The doctors were also wanting to put us both on Lipitor for our cholesterol but with the last blood test our cholesterol is almost normal and the Dr. doesn't want us to be on the meds. The company will not let me tell you their name because they don't want us advertising them over the internet. They want face to face or voice to voice contact to protect their reputation they have built over the last 20 years, but link to this URL http://wellnessrewards.toxicfreehomes.com, and you can see some of the products and will be able to find out more about the company. Also next time your in a book store, look for the book "Our Toxic World" by Doris J. Rapp, M.D. It is pretty enlightening and scary. I can say that I thank the Lord everyday for having someone introduce me to this company because I feel so much better. I also feel good knowing that the I've been able to cut back on a med that has "death" as a side affect. I used to work for GlaxoWellcome (now GlaxoCline) when they came out with Advair so I'm well aware of the politics in the drug companies. If you and your family want to learn more about the company, let me know. I can set you up to watch a webcast presentation in the privacy of your own home. Just let me know. Guest guest
Hi Hope, I was offline yesterday because of a church function, so I'm catching up today. I was at Mars Hill College near there yesterday. My church has AWANA which is a Bible club for our kids. We had a leader conference at the college. It took about an hour to drive there. I've been to Ashville a couple times so I know exactly where it is. I think I know which company you are talking about. I listened on the phone to some presentation thing a while back that someone else got me involved with. Even if it's not the same company, I simply can't afford it. Our budget is too tight to buy this stuff and we are expecting a grandbaby next month. My daughter is 22 but still lives at home and is due in October. I'm picky about the products I use for cleaning and laundry anyway, very picky. No strong odors or anything like that. In fact, I spoke to the manager of the grocery store we use and he stopped the use of pine oil cleaners in the store so I wouldn't leave and take my business elsewhere. I'm highly sensitive to scents so I have to be careful. I'm allergic to some detergents so I can only use a couple brands or else I break out in hives. Take care, Hope Knott wrote: Hi . Guest guest
Oh, I'm glad you have been able to cut back on your meds. I don't know much about the drug company politics as you said, but Advair and Singulair both have been God sends for me. My asthma is much better controlled now. I don't have to use my inhaler as much since I started them. I also use albuterol in a nebulizer but I don't use that much. I have been able to stop using Theophylline.
I listened on the phone to some presentation thing a while back that someone else got me involved with. Even if it's not the same company, I simply can't afford it. Our budget is too tight to buy this stuff and we are expecting a grandbaby next month. My daughter is 22 but still lives at home and is due in October. Guest guest
Hey , Thanks, yes time has flown so fast. I love AWANA. I love working with the kids. I may be getting ready to work with a special needs child one on one. He is slower than the rest and needs the extra help. I'm praying about it to see if it's where God wants me. I believe it is. The your business? question confuses me. B wrote: -Early Congrats to your daughter on the arrival of her first child! Nextmonth ALREADY? wow! Time flew!I've heard of AWANA. Our budget is too tight to buy this stuff and we are expecting a grandbabynext month. My daughter is 22 but still lives at home and is due in October. I'm picky about the products I use for cleaning and laundry anyway, very picky. No strong odors or anything like that. In fact, I spoke to the manager of thegrocery store we use and he stopped the use of pine oil cleaners in the storeso I wouldn't leave and take my business elsewhere. I'm highly sensitive toscents so I have to be careful. I'm allergic to some detergents so I can onlyuse a couple brands or else I break out in hives.
Guest guest
Oh, ok. I told the manager I would buy my groceries somewhere else. The way I said it is old fashioned. I learned it from my grandma. Guest guest
She was basically forcing the supermarket to bow to her preferences by making threats. Happens all the time. Nothing matters but one selfish person's demands. So what if the floor is no longer cleaned properly as long as gets her way. That's all she meant.
