Thanks for your information about Jeffry's helmet Heidi. I've been

waiting patiently for you to post some pictures of him in it! So

where are they???!!!

I have heard of only about 2 or 3 cases of a child's head taking on a

cone head shape from the use of an open top band, I wouldn't say that

was because of the open band, but would say it was a result of

increased pressures being applied by the orthotist. Those cases are

extremely rare though as I've been a member of this group for over 2

yrs now and have seen many members come & go. It's important though

for us parents to keep a close eye on the child's headshape while

wearing any product, as Yifan replied earlier :)

Does the Mayo Helmet have a webpage that we could access? I think you

have said they did not have a website. I understand you've been told

his helmet is active and the most important thing here is that Jeffry

has seen good improvement while wearing it. And I don't want to come

across as being rude about his product in any way shape or form I

just want to get the correct information and seems how you were so

nice to offer to answer any question, here goes.... I cannot see them

manufacturing an active style helmet when they make the helmet while

you wait in about an hour or so right?

Thanks for helping us understand the helmet Heidi......we appreciate

it, we're all curious.
