I had surgery at 9 to correct it. I know they treat it MUCH differently today. I hav e a friend who has two daughters who have grade 3. The oldest is almost 4 and completely healthy. I know how frustrated you are! Been there. Dane had a lot of issues too. Luckily at 8 months we was discharged from PT, graduated from his DOC band and got off all his meds. What a month. Before that we went to appointments all the time. Our insurance company didn't pay the stay in the NICU (over $25k!), After many calls I got the hospital to charge it off because they didn't call in for proper authorization. The DOC bands are " only " about $3k and I know people have discussed payment plans with you. We put it on our credit card. I used to work for a credit card company, so I know how to play the interest rate game. If you have a card that you don't use, you can call them and ask for a promotional rate (they are usually on balance transfers or access checks ONLY). We got a 3.9% for a year. The trick is NOT to actually charge anything on the card if you do a cash advance and to not have a balance prior to using an access check. They charge you an obscene APR for purchases and any payments you make will go to pay off the lower rate first. So, basically if you charge while you have a promo rate with a balance transfer, you are still paying out the nose. Sorry if this is so complex. They try to make it complex so people spend money rather than save it! There are many parents who do have fundraisers too. If you give CT a call, they probably can steer you in the right direction.
