Guest guest
Hi , thanks for posting, behaviour has been better now we are on round, still OCD but not quite so manic. He has gone down with something, struggled to eat yesterday, problems swallowing and poor appetite generally, sleepy. responds to virtually everything! Responses are either mini to major wows or the pits of despair and rage, it's a rare day he has no response at all, this is the first time the LDM hasn't made a difference. Often times though progress will just die away with the exception of chelation where we have seen steady improvements in his understanding, far less brain fog but he sometimes has the problem of knowing what he wants to say but massive frustration at not being able to, when that happens he will totally let rip. We are pinning our hopes on talk tools to help him overcome this, there is so much work to be done, he is in a better place with signing at times, but again his fine motor is very weak so he can be in the same position as he is verbally. I'm so cross with that OT we won at Tribunal, bringing in big bouncy balls and working stuff he could do easily, totally ignoring his major issues then announcing for AR that he was fine, just needed monitoring, which most likely would have thrown up a regression in skills if and when the more lucrative work dropped off. I'm having a morning witter now, but isn't hindsight a wonderful thing. Vicky Re: LDM 100, Viruses - Vicky The other thing for though is we are on round this weekend and he seems calmer, is there some connection with off round and OCD? Been noticing rounds are his best times, not without OCD but more manageable. Vicky Vicky I meant to reply to this earlier. Karl is so much better on round too as long as he's not yeasty. It's a phenomenon I have not been able to explain, it just is. I can even time going out to day two because I know that's when he's on his best behaviour. I've heard of this happening so many times from other mums too. x
