Guest guest
As far as homeschooling, you don't have to stay in you area to get the covering, If anyone in this group needs a covering for your child, as I said, I Have a christian school, you could use our covering, We are a legal school, We are an onsite school, but we also offer homeschool coverings. What I Can do is as follows: 1. You can register your child with Alpha & Omega. I can fax over documents that need to be filled out for your child's file. Once that file is complete, your child is in a legal school. 2. You as the parent, would in return, choose what homeschool books you will use, you send fax me over your choice, A copy of all grades would be mailed to me. And I would mail copy of report cards and then transcript when needed. 3. We are a ministry, but as the founder, I am the mother of a child with special needs, and the Lord knows, I dont know what I would do, if I had the worry of placement of Kaylea in a school setting, I am blessed to have her at the school with me, and I mainstream her. Any parent who is interesed in Alpha & Omega , you can call the school @ and ask for Ms. Debbie, or you may email me @ debsgold2@... and I will furnish with a contract that states you wil be in controll of all your child's educational services and there would be NO CHARGE, for this covering, Of course you would need to purchase what ever supplies you may need, at your local school store. Your only responsiblilitie to Alpha & Omega , would be to report grades, But of course we would always be there to assist you when you need us. Any parent in this group, that is in need of this service , please feel free to contact me Debi wrote: I think a few of you here send your girls to private schools. I posted on our local ASA board asking about private schools in this area. One woman replied that she looked into private schools and would have to pay for an aid. I came up with a wild idea of getting a private school who supports kids with autism philosophically and getting some of us parents together to raise the funds needed for the extra support. Many private schools say, " We don't have the funds. " Has anyone here tried such an undertaking? Anyone know of any autism groups who might participate in funding? Guest guest
I gave up the private school issue, in Illinois it's not just the money, it's legal issues. You might try hiring someone yourself, and trying to get funding that way. karen ps. we are going public now > I think a few of you here send your girls to private schools.
