Guest guest
Ilene, Me too! I can't remember my nada ever laughing. My father finally laughs now after being divorced from her 25 years ago. And boy, is my sense of humour strange, sometimes people just look at me like I am pretty wierd. But a lot of people appreciate it, and like to work with me because of it. Although, sometimes I do have the tendancy of blurting out the wrong thing, or putting my foot in my mouth. I have ADD, so sometimes my mouth moves before my brain can process. Pretty embarassing at times, but I just laugh at myself, and apologize if I said something that can be misinterpreted. I laugh a lot - sometimes my own jokes are so funny I laugh at them - my kids think that is a little strange, but they appreciate my sense of humour. They like that a lot better than being " serious " all the time. I try to laugh everyday. It helps me enormously. I have a friend who when we worked together would call me every morning with her joke of the day. I loved her for that! --- ilene@... wrote: > > > Would you believe there was very little laughter in > my house growing up? duh? > When I was in high schoolm my greek lit teacher > wrote in my yearbook that I had > the oddest sense of humor of anyone she'd ever met! > I treasured that comment! > > Around our house, we all have a wit - lots of > laughs.
