It sounds like you are doing things right. I think they tell you not to drink water right after rinsing though. Everyone's mouth chemistry is different and you may just be more prone to thrush, etc. I use Advair 250 and haven't had any problems yet. You might try going to thier site www.advair.com and see if you can get any info there. I hope this helps.

I religiously rinse after using Advair (100/50) with Biotene mouthwash w/water, brush my teeth and drink water. But I still keep having the mouth problems. Now they think I may have Lichen Planus.

When my asthma isn't acting up, I halve my Advair dosage to once a day instead of twice to avoid the painful mouth problems.

Since there was little response, does that mean that most of you don't get thrush, ulcers, etc.??

Thanks, for your info. Haven't seen anything about not drinking water after Advair, and didn't find anything on that site about it, but will keep investigating and call their toll-free # tomorrow. Thanks!

Sorry, , that the Nystatin doesn't work for you. Luckily, it does for me, since more than one Diflucan gives me a really stomach and bad headaches.

: I have never heard of getting ulcers or thrush as a result of any type of inhaler/steriod usage (I am not a doctor). Have you checked with your dentist? You may have more going on in your mouth than just the Advair usage. Might be worth a few minutes to have it looked at.

It is well known by Doctors that inhaled steroids can cause Thrush. My

Specialist actually gave me a prescription for Nystatin when he put me

on Advair! I've not had problems at all, always rinse my mouth 3 or 4

times and eat lots of live yogurt which I believe helps! However I've

had awful sinus problems since going on it!

I always rinse my mouth after the Advair. I've never had problems.
