Guest guest
Whoops sent reply before finishing. School use list I fwd and sounds like a combo of two types of seizure activity Mx Does anyone has any insight about these? Guest guest
, Is he gfcfsf and any other allergen free? This sounds like the response that we have to gluten and casein - always a delayed response that comes after a period of being off the offending item for 8-12 hrs - so night/early morning here if she's inadvertently had gluten/casein. Here, it is a true seizure response that has the periods of sounds, unresponsiveness and post episode confusion that needs reorienting. It did not begin as grand mal when she was younger but had all the characteristics you describe. As the term is commonly used 'anxiety and stress' plague all our children[mom's too!] but imo they do NOT trigger seizures unless the doc is referencing the stress of a malfunctioning biological system. All the workups/medications were to no avail until we got gluten, casein and soy out of her diet. > > Does anyone has any insight about these? > The pediatrician referred to these to explain some of the events that have > been happening with DS , such when he zones out in times of anxiety and > stress and when he awakes during, making ineligible sounds, standing rigid, > does not responds to you and finally when comes around is so confused that > does not even recognises his surroundings it takes sometime until he knows > where he is and so fourth .... > this night episodes happens sometimes 3 times in a week .... > > claudia >

Guest guest
has absence seizures - he zones out when stressed, ill, or eaten something he should not have. He stares briefly, if he is holding something his arm lowers slowly, as he is coming out of it he sort of chews/swallows then looks dazed (all depending on severity). Also related and sometimes leading up to and absence seizure he can have an episode of getting his word/thoughts muddled, Magnesium and taurine helped for him. Does anyone has any insight about these? Guest guest
Hi all, thanks all for the kindest answers ..... Despite of the Pedo have come with this my gut feel is tell me otherwise .... DS takes magnesium and he can't stand taurine he gets really violent ..... he is gf cf and soy free but I think I need to do another allergies test even if it is just to rule it out and get it out of the way or even to make sure that they haven't change since the last one that was done over a year ago ..... but I am not dismissing my gut feeling and I am going to try to see how can have him to do a EEG.... you lot showed me that there is more that meets the eye , I truly was expecting for someone to say it was common with their children as the pedo just told me that it was really common on asd children..... claudia
