Guest guest
As you all know Jaya is handling this I just want to tell you what we have started to do on the Cranio side that is how we can work things on the Plagio side because I plan to combine them. I am going to have a page with the 50 states, Canada and International. If you come to the CAPPS site you will click State Contacts and go to your state and I hope to have one cranio contact and one plagio contact. Now what this starts to mean is that you offer your email address for someone to contact to learn about the clinics in your state, doctors, insurance those things. What I want for the future is to have CAPPS Chapters in every state and major city so you all are on the right track. But I agree please join our CAPSORG to talk about those ideas you have. We need all the help we can get to get the word out. I think it is great that you want to start a support group, I right now have one family from Montana and one from Idaho that are working on that with their state. If you are interested in being a State Contact please let Jaya or me know. I am going to start to work on that on the website now. I will need. Name City, State Email Addy Other info you think might be good to tell them. Like with cranio I will tell them the suture closing they dealt with. Also as most of you see we are talking about CAPPS (Craniosynostosis and Positional Plagiocephaly Support) I just want you to know the only reason why it hasn't changed on the website is because for business and IRS status it for now is CAPS. I am moving the office up to Virginia in the next few months and plan to work to get it incorporated under CAPPS in VA before the end of the year and then will change it with the IRS office. Just want you to all know that I am committed to having us work together and I hope you all are too. The only drawback I see is that if we have meetings in one city, some parents may not participate if there is a two-hour round-trip with a baby. Perhaps alternate cities when we get to that point? I think I'd be inclined to see what literature etc. and Jaya offer in the new CAPPS organization and perhaps become involved with that at the local level. Let us know what your orthotist thinks about all this! TamiThere > Tami-> > Thank you for your response. Guest guest
, I would be interested in helping in Texas: Becky Keck Plano, Texas becky@... FYI, Plano is a suburb just north of Dallas. You may remember that we went through the cranio scare, so I'm familiar with both cranio and plagio. And like so many others, I've gone " against " 's ped to get her treatment.
