Guest guest
Dear all, We too opened our account to inform everyone at this e-group. Bhushan was Raizada sir's PG. We got a call from Sevagram at 8 pm today. Really shocking it was for us. Here we were planning to go to Sevagram in end October and obviously meeting him. From what we have been told by Dr. Gujar on the phone (90 batch, and now lecturer in ENT) he was supposed to attend a PG meet in the afternoon, but he up saying he was not feeling to well. The PG meet over, Dr. Gujar called him up, asking for permission to leave the OPD for the day. They had something to discuss, so Raizada sir told him that they would take it up early tomorrow morning and then go fot the OT! He was feeling nauseous. Thinking it was " acidity " he took a Ranitidine and then got up to visit the toilet when he collapsed. His daughter Mridula called up Dr. Gujar asking him to come over immediately. In the mean time physicians from Wardha were called. CPR and intubation was done, but to no avail, and we lost him at 6.30 we were told. That is the News as we know. May God rest his soul in peace and give his family strength to bear the loss. We know his family well. madam was always laughing and joking. Can't even gather the guts to call them up now. Guest guest
That was a real shocking news. Indeed,he was a meticulous and painstaking surgeon and a very nice teacher too.Never remember seeing him get angry.Since, our dept was opposite to ENT,we would meet the staff on a regular basis, and I feel sad,to hear about his untimely demise.LAGTA HAIN, ENT DEPT KO NAZAR LAG GAYI HAIN. He never took attendance during his lectures and would just pass the attendance slip for all to fill,b'cos he would say, " Good teachers know that their classrooms will always be full " ,and it would always be.During,my PG days he had quit the college to restart his pvt practise,at Wardha, and just a few days ago,a nurse from our college who had come down here to Riyadh, informed us about him to be the present HOD of ENT. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and the staff of MGIMS. The college has lost a good teacher. Shyam (84) Dr. Raizada of ENT is no more I have just been informed by Dr. Sanjay Marwah that Dr. Raizada of ENT dept, MGIMS has succumbed to a massive Myocardial Infarction today afternoon. Guest guest
It was with a sense of deep shock and pain I learned about the sudden sad demise of Pof. Raizada this evening. Since then I have spoken to few of my colleagues who did their residency under him , just to lighten the feeling of greif but guess its not helping much.-its still hard for us to believe that our mentor,so closely assosiated with us in the formative years of our carreer is no more . I remember sir had been particularly conscious about his health since last 4-5 years, during which he had lost considerable weight .Besides going for brisk daily walk,he had cut a lot on his diet and calories-it was just not to be! A meticulous surgeon, he was stickler for perfection-patient ,calm and poised, paying attention to the minutest basic detils in every case-Something which we, as his students have learnt from him and is going to help us through out in our carrer .The way he documented his findings in patients records was another very remarkable feature of his. Teahing the subject apart.,he wold often advice us in matters pertinent to various isues of life. Heart goes out for the ever jovial and kind madam and three young children of his!May God give them strength to bear this huge irrepardable loss Rohit Sharma, 1989 Batch ________________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
