Guest guest
Shanua, Hi. I was wondering how using RDI has worked for you? My daughter has used ABA for 2 years and it has worked great. I'm considering RDI too because I want to ensure that she learns " social cues " as well. Any thoughts on this? thanks.l > >Reply-To: autism-georgia >To: autism-georgia >Subject: Re: RDI training in Georgia >Date: Fri, 05 Mar 2004 05:29:38 -0000 > >I have been to 2 of Dr. Gutstein's introductory workshops, as well as >to the 4-day training in Houston on Assessment. Guest guest
Carolyn - I am wondering the same thing. We have been doing ABA for 2 years also but I wonder how we are ever to teach that " theory of mind " that ABA does not give. Are you planning to go to the RDI conference? Guest guest
Hi Stacey. I would like to go to the conference very much, but I can't afford it right now. If I can come up with the money before it fills up I'll go. How about you? I want to make sure that I'm doing everything possible to help my daughter. Sometimes though I'm not sure what to choose. RDI in theory sounds good to me. The ABA she has received has been the best thing I think I could have done for her. My daughter's first ABA therapist, a lady by the name of Sauer was GREAT! She really opened doors for her that no one could reach. Since then other therapists have built on that foundation. I have been so blessed to have such great people to work with her! I feel I need to do more though. RDI might be something that I can do for her at home. It's hard to get everything in since her schedule is already full. Good luck with your choices. Thanks for sharing. > >Reply-To: autism-georgia >To: <autism-georgia > >Subject: Re: Re:Shanua.
