Guest guest
Yeah, well it might have been ok, but the current gb issue mucked it up,, last feb I had the fibrosure and that was LONG before I switched to morphine for pain control... so I hope you are right and all will be ok,, what stage were you before tx? I was stage 3-4 and even tho now they think I have this PBC or ascending cholengitis,, it still says early bridging fibrosis,, so I sure dont know but after we get back from nebraska, and after I have my eye surgery, Im gonna have a sit down with the gastro and go from there, but Ill be having the blood test next week.. Silvia is convinced that I have the PBC,, THAT is not good... lol,,, so Im praying that she is wrong,, I have been researching it and at least two of the labs tests that should be positive with PBC,, mine are negative.. time will tell... I will talk with the surgeon on Wed,, and we leave on Fri... But if I were you, I'd have the fibrosure anyway, its supposed to be fairly accurate at both ends of the spectrum,, like stage 0-1 or 4,, more confusing in the 2-3ish stage,, I saw an attorney regarding the ssdi and he said I was NOT to see their doc and that I am to write them a letter ( he wrote it for me and Ill re-write it in my handwriting) telling them about my surgery and sending them a copy of my biopsy showing my liver still is very sick and just tell them that I cant make it,, the doc they chose for me is over an hour's drive away... Well , Im going to go to bed,, Im tired,, Im off the morphine now,, and pain control is rearing its ugly head,, Im hurting really bad today and am crying alot,, so going to bed,, hugs jaxMarcus wrote: Hi Jax! So much for the reliability of a fibrosure test! Ive been wondering about that for some time. No I havent had another Biop since Tx and in asking my Gastro he said I dont ever need to take one (Gee I thought maybe theyd do one at say 5 or 7 years, but he said no).Say GBye to that Gallbladder! How did they remove it? The new way I hope! I had mine removed in '89 the "old" way -UGH! This would sure explain some other maladies that you have experienced. I remember how bad mine got before near-emergency removal (it was already scheduled so I toughed it out the last few days till surgery). What was your Biopsy results before doing Tx? I'll bet that bad GB has kept your Liver from healing as well at it should have and hopefully you will now be on the road to a 3 week Complete Liver Regeneration (thats what I hear!). So does Soc Sec recognize Cirrhosis by itself? Tough way to get them to hear ya!!!HAPPY HALLOWEEN! Hugz, Marcus> Hey you! Have you had another biopsy since you finished tx? All my labs before surgery were all normal except sgot was slightly elevated to 56 but ggt was 36 and normal,, all pancreatic enzymes were normal,, clotting ok, everything was just ok,, the surgeon said it probably was from the back up of bile from the 50+ little stones and sludge that were blocking up my gb and bile duct... so I hope it will come back down to normal soon.. but it is scaring the heck out of me,, I hope I havent relapsed... will be seeing the surgeon next wed for follow up after surgery... > > BUT the fact that it says I have cirrhosis,, that should make the ssdi shut the heck up as they are trying to see IF I can go back to work, which I cant.. who knows,, > > Anyway, I just wanted to know IF You had had another biopsy since you finished tx or not?> > lemme know hon and HUGZ to you!> > jax> > > > Jackie>It's a pleasure having you join in our conversations.
