Think stretch marks can be associated with over-production of cortisol. And one thing is for sure children and adults with autism who are in a permanent state of anxiety produce lots of cortisol.! You will find references under cushings syndrome/adrenal issues etc.

NHS early morning Cortisol test was OK here - DS' run horizontally too and don't look like the Lyme pics. They didn't start off maroon either but just appeared as they are now several years ago. CDate: Thursday, 1 December, 2011, 23:53clairelefeuvre@... writes:

The NHS early morning cortisol test is not an ideal way of measuring cortisol

levels. A 24hr urinary test is usually used for identifying high cortisol

production throughout the day. Also, there is the 24Hr Saliva Adrenal Stress

profile which measures cortisol output at 4 times during the day. It is possible

to produce high cortisol later in the day and this not show up on the early

morning test.
