Guest guest
Hi, I am Tamara, new to the group. Went for check up and labwork 6 month ago. Doc said liver count a little high and to come back in get another test. He said he would let me know if it was still elevated.. No one contact me. I called, they said if there was a problem I would be contacted. I went 2 weeks ago to renew my regular meds. Doc says, You know you have hepc see, right? I said no, I did not. Well I was shocked and could not think of many questions at the time. They gave me a hep a and b vaccination, told me to go to lab next day. Of course when I got home, my head was spinning. I was up all night, upset, reading everything I could find, not seeing good things. I got blood test, called doc for results, they wont give over phone. Doc wont bother to call me back. He said call him if I even want to take over counter meds. I did, nurse called back, said no aspirin! What do you take if you have a headache? Can I take sudafed for allergy? The doc said when he did see me he would refer me to a specialist. Dont know how long that will take. I go thru county as I am divorced, self employed as a needlework finisher, and raising 2 grandkids there whole life. I am 50. Had transfusions in 1970 after c-section and exploratory surgery. Had hep a at age 16. Kids father had hepc, he was a drug user. I went off of my prempro on Tuesday, been on it 9 years. No problems from that. Only take propranolol (beta blocker) and triamterene. Of course, I have had many meds over years for various illnesses, drink very little, I mean like went 10 years with no drink, then maybe a drink every once in a blue moon, Well, wont do that any more. Why does hepc take so long to show up? I get blood test every year for at least past 10 years? The Dr I see at clinic, is not so nice since he told me I had hep, or maybe it is my imagination. Anyhow, I am just trying to take care of myself, the kids, walk 1-2 miles a day as usual, I dance in praise group at church. Dont get tired doing anything like that unless it is 100 out and I am on a hill walking.
