Guest guest
Hi all, I have a question/slight problem. Gracie had an adjustment yesterday at CT, and last night, she tried to push her band off by pushing up on the part that looks like a big sideburn. I stopped her just in time, and figured it was just an accident. Well this morning after getting my oldest off to school, I went back to sleep since all the other kids were still sleeping. I woke up to Gracie babbling away, and looked over and she had her band off and was gumming the stickers with this big ol grin on her face. She didnt undo the velcro, so duct tape wont help, but how do i keep it on her now? ACK! Is it too loose? Was it adjusted too much?i guess if she grows some it will tighten up again and maybe she wont be able to push it off, but geesh! What do I do until then?? I called , the lady we always see at CT, and i am waiting for her to call me back. I just wanted to try to get some feedback from here also. thanks, Kari--mom to Little-Miss-I-Can-Take-Off-My-Band-Nanny-Nanny-Boo-Boo-Gracie, DOCBand since 12/02 North Carolina
Guest guest
WOW!! What do you have a little Houdini on your hands? lol I've never heard of this happening before although I'm sure it has. Maybe it was adjusted too much. I wish I had a solution for you. Please let us know what your ortho says. --- In Plagiocephaly , " Koskela " <jkoskela@n...> wrote: > Hi all, I have a question/slight problem. Guest guest
Kari - lol, how funny. Jeffry just did the same thing. Since he has had a fever, I have not had his helmet on him, and I just put new stickers on, and he did the same thing. Except that he ate a few, because the next morning, they were in his diaper!! It sounds to me that your band is a little big. Is this the first that she has done this? If so , I am afraid that it may be many to come. Jeffry went through this fase as well, but it took a few days to get over it. Best of luck and keep us posted. Heidi, mom to Jeffry, MN, local helmet. HELP! ACK! Guest guest
Hi everyone! sorry i havent replied sooner--I got busy trying to clean up the house and forgot until CT called me back. The person Gracie always sees could hardly believe that she took it off herself without using the velcro! She said she has seen older babies try it but that Gracie is the youngest baby she has ever seen do that. I figure Gracie must be a genius =P lol She told me to stop her from doing it if i catch her in the act, but to ignore it, dont laugh about it or talk about it to grace. Then try to redirect her and distract her to get her mind on something else. She said hopefully its just a phase that she will get over. I hope so too! lol. So far she hasnt tried taking it off again, but this incident is going in her baby book. I told her dad about it when he called and he thought it was funny, and was very proud of her for figuring it out. Of course he also thought it was funny when i was driving home from Charlotte, NC for her adjustment one night and got lost and then next thing i knew i passed a sign that said "Welcome to South Carolina!" What makes that funny is that we live in North Carolina. S. Carolina wasnt exactly on the way lol. Thanks for all your replies! Guest guest
Kari, Both of your posts had me laughing so hard, between Gracie the escape artist and your adventure to South Carolina, TOO FUNNY. That reminds me of a trip me and my cousin took, we were TRYING to get to Tahoe and ended up almost in Vegas. We've yet to live that trip down in our family!! Glad that CT had some input for you, good luck with you lil genius. & (9.5 months, STARband Grad) --- In Plagiocephaly , " Koskela " <jkoskela@n...> wrote: > Hi everyone! sorry i havent replied sooner--I got busy trying to clean up the house and forgot until CT called me back. > > The person Gracie always sees could hardly believe that she took it off herself without using the velcro! SMIL was in Toronto for a concert (they live in Buffalo). On the way home, she missed the exit, but there wasn't another exit to allow her to turn around for quite sometime. She finally saw a sign welcoming to the US. She said to the border patrol " Thank God I'm back in NY! " He said " Lady, you're in Michigan! " So she had to turn around and drive all that way back. Didn't get home until 7 am! Tell Ms. Gracie to keep that band on!

I think it started at the cajon pass, it was really foggy and I think we made a wrong turn, DUH!! haha Guess that's what happens when two girls who haven't seen each other in a while start talking in a car, in the fog > > Hi everyone! sorry i havent replied sooner--I got busy trying to > clean up the house and forgot until CT called me back. > > > > The person Gracie always sees could hardly believe that she took it > off herself without using the velcro!
