Guest guest
Great point, Ashok! I too was wondering how we check if it is MGIMS alumni and not anyone at all who register. I think anyone at all can register right now...dont know how good that is- since we write sometimes confidential stuff - addresses/ email ids/ phone nos. etc here. Restricted membership should be started... and somehow all the old member ids should be validated.. Gayatri, 1997 Batch.

Guest guest
Dear Ashok, I have recd this letter from an anonymous sender: Letter from baingan_bhurta to Dr Ashok Bhaskar Dear Doctor Ashok Bhaskar, I am actually pained that you feel threatened by such an innocuous pure vegetarian like me. What have I done to be the target of your ire? I have noticed that the members of this so called Gandhian group have no objection when it comes to welcoming my contemporaries like Laal Maas or gashi or, why, even feni and beer. But talk of a poor mashed creature like me and you see red! I presume you already have an aversion to baingan....and that is why you are allergic to my non-invasive presence on this group. How ever did you presume that I would steal your credit cards and phone numbers and addresses? I bet - had I been named idli_sambar or even mcdonalds_burger you would have had no objection. My curse to you is that may you be served everyday with aalu baingan, baingan bhurta, masala baingan, baingan bhaaja, and even baingan raita....till you grow used to me. So stop behaving like a spoilt schoolboy making faces at the dining table at the day's menu ....and let us live and let eat. With warm personal regards, Baingan bhurta

Guest guest
My dear Baingan Bharta, In fact I seemed to have developed an allergy to one of my favorite vegetables i.e., Baingan. But's that not the reason of my aversion to you. If you are one of us i.e., an MGIMSian then ..Hola & Welcome ! But if you are not...then your peculiar address has been an eyeopener...that this is not a secure site and probably the way yahoo groups operate no group could be secure. Hence we should not share personal information through the group and may be do it through direct mails ? How would you like if you realized that a camera was planted in your house and bedroom and some stranger was prying upon all your conversations and private stuff !! Hey...we are one family here....the MGIMS family....and we don't want strangers eavesdropping on our business.....as far as some psycho / crook intruding and security concerns arising from that...don't even want to worry about such nuisance / headaches. <<I have noticed that the members of this so called Gandhian group have no objection when it comes to welcoming my contemporaries like Laal Maas or gashi or, why, even feni and beer. But talk of a poor mashed creature like me and you see red!>> Here we entertain a different Gandhian principle - Equality of opinion - No discrimination and freedom of speech as long as one doesn't launch personal attacks ( except on strangers and intruders ofcourse)...thats what makes our group flourish under the artful moderation of our very own Kishoreda. So my dear Baingan Bharta find some other group where intruders are welcome and the likes of Laal Maas, Feni, Beer and other neurotonics are not allowed !! Ashok Bhaskar 1984 PS dear Kishore...this is getting more and more creepy...can you address the issue directly please..
