hello, thanks for the response, dr goyal seems to think that the immunovir is the most obvious place to start the will be to do the methylation and then chelation. however his seizures, poor gut condition do worry me. they have been going on for 5 yrs now,i only wish they would stop.i am also considering the ketogenic diet as when he gets older this will be a very difficult option.Subject: Re: IMMUNOVIR USE PLEASE HELPTo:

Hi Tahira,

My daughters doctor has prescribed Goldenseal to start with as she has very high

herpes titers. She has said that she might use an anti viral after a couple of

months. Georgia has been on it a week she has a small rash around her mouth. Not

sure what this means but am hopeing the Goldenseal is working. No behavioural

changes though!

We are also going to try vitamin A protocal and we were prescribed Mycellized A

from kirkmans. I haven't started this yet though.

Best wishes

Sue

HI everyone

My 18 year old dd has tested positive for varicella zoster IgG (very high) 17

years after having chicken pox.

Dr G has recommended a lengthy course of valtrex/immunovir. I know some of you

have tried going down this route and wondered what your experiences of it were.

Do you think it is better to go down the natural antiviral route or dive

straight in with valtrex.?

I am worried about reemergence of aggressive behaviour . Am I right to be

worried? Does anyone have any good experience of using this?

TIA

Valtrex has been much more effective here than natural antivirals – although ds was always a good responder to naturals, if I had to chose again I'd go for the rx stuff straight away, no doubt. Give a good gap between starting those two. If aggression happens worth trying 5-htp, GABA, theanine, or whatever else you have that could help raise brain serotonin, and minimise glutamate. If those don't help consult drG (he might have some ideas now on what to do to avoid or minimise those, worth asking about propranolol etc).We didn't have aggression when starting valtrex, but all hell broke lose when we added nystatin! Pulled it after 2 days and all was good. Saying because sometimes it can be antifungals or something else that is usually given alongside valtrex that can cause issues.
