Guest guest
I just finished viewing Suzanne Day video Neurodevelopment through movements. I am very impressed with how she was able to develop a very concise rotation of movements and I especially love how she uses poetry (scripture) to go through the exercise without a lot of instructions to the child. I think it will take awhile for me to practice each movement before I am ready to try it on my son, but I think this seems so much more doable than many of the neuro reorginization programs that I have looked at. I also appreciate your non dogmatic approach---that it's better to do these 5 times a week. Other programs emphasize that you should never miss a day! Personally, I can do almost anything three days in a row, but always have to take a break on day 4 or I get burned out. Suzanne, even though you said you don't use Handle Institute, some of these exercises are very similar (almost identical) to ones that we did with our Handle therapist. You emphasize more crawling movements for sure. Do you have a list of scripture or poetry that can be used with each movement? Thanks for sharing your " heritage " with us.
