Guest guest
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/05/110503081159.htm link above to a fascinating study showing that as individuals with autism age their abilities increase. Thus the problems of social/intellectual, etc are not down to an 'in' ability, or being 'broken' but more down to a delay. Have a friend doing vast research in this - fascinating stuff. everyone working with your child including you should be cognizant of this fact (if it's true) and be helping your children to develop those mirror neurons now, rather than having them wait till they get older (when the connections start to be made) because along with age comes other problems thrown in, like MH and behavioural probs down to misunderstandings and life experience. this study is great news - more than great - needs to be researched further and replicated.
