Guest guest
: When you posted That you do not have a diagnosis yet and that Matt had characteristics of more than one PID, but doesn't exactly fit into one particular category, it reminded me of what 's immunologist had told me a few years ago about him. Fist he told me that what has is a " non-common " problem--he refused to say rare, but it's not seen as often as other PIDs are. He told me that he uses the term Dysgammaglobunemia for because he has gammaglobulins, but they just don't function properly. also has hypogammaglobulinemia, selective sub-calls def., and an antibody problem. It's just easier to classify it all together into the single category for our purposes...however, for the insurance company, it's classified as hypogammaglobulinemia, selective IgG def., and also selective IgM def.--I think the IgM def. is the one regarding his antibodies but I'm not sure--I've never gotten an answer from anywhere when I've asked about that. is only low in his IgG's. At one time all his Ig's were low, but that was also while he was on chemotherapy for Leukemia, so I don't really count that. Just thought that I'd throw in my thoughts... --mom to , 8, dysgammaglobulinemia, Leukemia-in remission; ,9, asthma/allergies; ,2, allergies
