Guest guest
I am new to the list. I have severe OCD that is now at a more moderate level after years of CBT and the help of Anafranil. My five year old daughter is experiencing anxiety symptoms that cause her to have a crying episode almost every day at kindergarten. I would like to get her help as early as possible in the hopes that I can prevent this from snowballing into full-fledged OCD. If anyone knows of an OCD specialist for young children in the NY(Westchester County)/Connecticut area, I would greatly appreciate the referral!! Thanks ahead of time! Guest guest
As I mentioned to , I got great recommendations and other valuable information from other parents from a support group meeting for " parents of children with OCD. " I am in the New York area. If you are interested, you can send me a personal e-mail. The next meeting takes place on December 13 in Westchester County. Here are a couple of names that were recommended to me by other parents: Psychiatrist: Dr. Gayle Augenbaum: Mt. Kisco Psychiatrist: Dr. Seaver: , Mt. Kisco Pschologist for CBT: Dr. Stacey Slater: , Chappaqua Greisburg: , Ardsley Dir. of child Psychology: Flemming Gray (Westch. County Hosp.) After dealing with my daughter's condition for the past two months, I have to come realize (and you probably have also) that the really good doctors that specialize in OCD are very expensive and are not usually on insurance plans. > I am new to the list.
