Dear all,

My son, aged 8 now has just started with some quiet vocal tics. He keeps saying

" bitches " then getting upset. He has some minor facial tics too, but these do

not seem to bother him.

Has anyone any experience of this? I have left a message for my homeopath but

would also welcome any biomed or behavioural suggestions.

Many thanks,

. X

Yes. he was on Chlorella, but he came off it in July. He is just taking

probs, candex, oils, vits, mins, inositol and B6 and magnesium at the moment. He

also has a very good homeopath. The CEASE programme and the B6/magnesium have

been brilliant. As I posted recently his language has leapt forward and so have

his social skills - it has been really exciting. These tics have just started

after several weeks of great progress. He has just started to make friends and

play properly with other children for the first time and I worry these tics,

with them being offensive words will set him back. I wonder too if his efforts

to socialise are causing him additional anxiety and this could have led to the

tics starting in the first place. I feel as if he is just hanging in there and

don't want him to go backwards and more into his own world again.

I saw a programme recently about tourettes and the boy was really finding cranial osteopathy helped. Also I know antibiotics can help, as for some it is linked to strep. However, given fungal problems, we used herbs for strep and many herbs can have an anti-bacterial effect.

Might be worth a go?

I will take a look at our past med notes, as I recalll we had to stop something because it might have caused vocal tics, but I cannot remember what it was. It was ages ago and my memory has since become menopausal, along with my body thermostat.....!

Must have overheated!

Hi . Thank you for replying. You might be onto something there as Chris's

recent ONE test results showed that he does have strep. Do you remember which

herbs you used?, and if you can remember what caused the tics, (without

overheatting!!), that would be great.

Many thanks,

Hi

I would personally give GSE and once thats established put in LDM-100 and gradually raise it over a period of time, Strep is a nasty one and needs to be zapped quickly. If all else fails you may need antibiotics but its trying to get GP's to prescribe, if you are under Dr Goyal i would book an appointment with him and get antibiotics straight away.

Thank you for the advice. We are not under Dr. Goyal and the GP will not

prescribe. I do have some antibiotics I was supposed to use when I was bitten

recently and managed not to use. Would these do or do I need a specific one?

Alternatively I have been increasing Candex over the last few weeks and was

about to introduce GSE so could certainly try that first.

What do you think?
