We are going down to see her on Saturday for a qeeg and she seems to be the person who knows the most about this. She will be able to recommend the best practitioner as apparently not all centres are suitable for our children. Best of luck. . X

X > > > Dear all, We have just come back from taking for a qeeg. This is apparently a good idea before neurofeedback therapy as it ensures that the equipment can be set optimally for the child's needs. We went to see Dr. Beverley Steffert in Cambridge at the Learning Recovery Centre. We live in the north and are fortunate to have a neurofeedback centre afew miles away in York, but they do not do the qeeg. The Learning Support Centre are one of the few that do. Results are sent off to a professor in Poland who writes a report for Dr. Steffert. She then sends a more easily understood version to us. I spoke to her about possible therapists in the south and she mentioned Lesley Parkinson at the Diagnostic Healing Centre but said she is one of the most expensive. Therapy should cost around £40 a session in the north and possible £50 per session in the south. Lesley charges £90 apparently. Other therapists she wrote down for me and i hope this is correct as I struggle to read her writing are: Foks - 0 - London SW19 Lillershall - Surrey but she didn't have a phone number . NHS funding is possible though as usual not probable! She recommended either Nexus or BrainMaster equipment and recommended not to use Lens as it is not successful for our children. Equipment is also available for hire. Dr. Steffert hires it and she thought the others did too. I hope this helps. Best wishes, . X
