Isobel, you made my day:-)Fat malabsorption could have many reasons. For the moment I'd be giving any fat-based supplements (fatty acids, Vitamin A, D and E ) as EMULSIFIED as they are partially metabolized for you already. I reckon lots of these children are not producing enough bile and until they are able to do so, I think this could be a good temporary solution. For dietary fats, lecithin supplements and Houston enzymes should work but as we know every body is different:-)) JxSubject: Re: Re; HeadachesTo: Autism-Biomedical-Europe Date: Thursday, 17

, are the doctors reluctant to prescribe because she is a child?

If this is the case at what age is she considered not to be a child?

Or is it just one of those 'it has to be the right department

prescribing' things?

xx

Thanks Isobel,

I have done a trial of hydrocortisone and my daughter is

several 100 percent better on it - the difference is quite

remarkable.

Hi ,

we do all these and k2 and mct oil and and bone broth and the bile is ok as do

tauine which the stools normal colour but I see on test results that he is

wasting taurine so have cut down to 500mg daily and houston enzymes with foods..

any thign else you think I am missing?

thaks so much for your help? The good news is Zach has gone up 3 sizes in

trousers in as many months and he is on a custom amino acid from genova which I

think has helped along side healing and cranial... you always have loads of

information to give thank you.

What reasons did dr Goyal give for not prescribing it - is he aware of how much better she is taking it.I know I've spoke to you about my daughter and her adrenal insufficiency. We are now figuring out (though yasko and extra testing) that is likely to be very low on BH4 which is needed for methylation.  Methylation and stress response/cortisol work together.

Does your daughter have any nerve type symptoms such as pin & needles in hands - dancing legs ( describle this as jumpin beans). She has complained of pain in her legs for years - we have always put it down to adrenal insufficiency and yes the hydro did help with this (I now think the hydro was supporting short cut through methyation cycle which is involved with stress response- only now she is a bit older she is able to better describe the type of feeling and its definitely nerve type sensation.  It now makes sense why she can't bear anything on her legs other than tracky bottoms!

If any of the is ringing bells and you want to talk more I'm happy to.Dr Goyal is very intersted in the BH4 stuff at the moment.BW
