Guest guest
Hi. My daughter, 14 started rocking alittle last year, but this last month it has become really pronounced. Does anyone know what causes it and/or which supplements might be helpful? Many thanks, . X
Guest guest
Hi Rocking can be a sign that child has poor prorprioception (ie poor feedback from body about where you are in space). It may have increased recently because of body growth. Whilst proprioception is often a problem all the time for people with autism it can worsen when your body changes. Bit like when you are pregnant and misjudge spaces you are trying to pass through because you are bigger than you think! Guest guest
Rocking back and forth in a straight line (some people call it " planking " ) is one of the signs strep is too high in our son. It completely disappears when he is on low dose antibiotics and comes back if we run out for any reason (we try not to but sometimes these things happen). It typically reappears about 48 hours he has not had a dose along with other tics such as eye-blinking. I'm not recommending antibiotics, they were a last resort for us, but perhaps try natural treatments for OCD/Tourettes/Tics first like OLE if you aren't doing that already. I agree with that it can also be gut related. > > > > From: nortonjenny44 <nortonjenny44@> > > Subject: Re: Rocking > > To: Autism-Biomedical-Europe > > Date: Thursday, 15 September, 2011, 9:35 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi.
