Guest guest
Dear Ashok, <<dear Kishore....can you please do a write-up about Dr Kalantri and Prabha and all others for the benefit of our senior alumni who probably don't understan why we juniors are getting excited about Dr Kalantri's visit .>> I am among those unfortunate few, who did not get to savour the unmatched teaching skills of s P sir. Could someone else take this responsibility? Maybe Ashok himself! Kishore shah 1974
Guest guest
Wow!finally atleast we are again talking of MGIMS reunion.I would love to attend it but can't promise Ashok. I'll try my very best......i mean if its not in conflict with my other personal/family commitments.Actually there are two very important family weddings coming up,one here in the USA and the other one in India. Neeti'86 > Dear Pratik, > <<Ashok > It will be great to have a MGIMS USA reunion when Dr Kalantri is here. Maybe thats just the motivation we all need- we got it from him when we were in Svg, now when he comes here. Pl let me know how I can help to get this ball rolling. I am based at Nashville, but am in Phoenix and the West Coast in Jan for conferences, and could easily make it if we were to have it that side. Guest guest
Yeah Gayatri...I was counting on you obviously...but can't take none for granted in this country. I wanted suggest some more dates - I realized October won't be convenient for me. December first two weeks might be another ideal time as it is the post thanksgiving travel rush and one can get good travel deals ! Thanks to the fact, things can be done on phone and with credit cards in this country I will be able to start planning here itself. I will look up through hotels.com and AAA and the unofficial guide of San Francisco for reasonable accomodation and banquet hall facilities in Berkeley or some other town nearby. Your suggestions and inputs are very much needed ...you being a Californian and a enthusiastic fellow MGIMSian. Thank you very much for your prompt response and enthusiasm !! Ashok Bhaskar ' 84 If people are interested we can have a picnic in Big Sur or something on Sunday AM. Isn't there the nation's surf capital somewhere there. I will be starting college in late August - so I dont know as yet how respective weeks/schedules will be over the months..cant answer that. My guess is that any month should do.. Guest guest
Dear Ashok, Can you plan for between December 20th and Jan 25th? Because Ill have exams in first 2 weeks of December....(sorry abt that!) Or anytime before December.....or after Jan 25th or any time except the first 2 weeks of December:) (Im a last minute study person:) ) Anyway, I guess we need input from others too.. Big Sur is unbelievably beautiful!!! Its one of my favorite spots ... lets meet there if we can. Camping is possible there over a weekend...The beaches are lovely- but the water is always freezing cold- so you cant step into the water. Dont know about water activities- will find out. Also Ill see if I can think of other places that a *Californian* should know about:) (insider information etc.. ) I dont know much offhand about hotels in SFO and Berkeley..since best Indian restaurants are closer to where I live;) But I can find out about accomodation here too and will ask around a bit. Dear Neeti, you must definitely try to make it!! Hope to hear from others soon.. Gayatri 1997 Batch.
