How soon after giving KIB 500 do you think it safe to start Diatom and should you start on a very small dose of Diatom (when it has never been given before) eg a teaspoon instead of a tablrespoon. Is there a risk of massive die off? What should be done if there is a lot of die off, please?Thanks,Margaret

Hi Margaret,

I feel had die off with 1 tsp too (constipation and

aggression here)....at least I could see it was something he needed!

He is now on 2 tbs and BMs and stress/aggression are better than

they have been for a long time (We are all on DE including the

cats).

, will take 2 tbsp in a salad with olive oil or in a

gravy/sauce....he seems to quite like it. I can cope with it in

cereals or fruit juice (have to drink it with a straw though!).

The cats were a different matter. Sandy came up with the clever idea

of putting it in their fur so they would get it when they clean

themselves.

Thanks - I might try one or two of these ideas. I tried it in a drink and it was

very grainy so something like an oil might be better.

Good idea with the cats, I don't need to do that with my dog- she just gulps her

food down iodine and salt as well!
