At last!

Not just after a century - it is the first time ever since modern olympics

started i.e an individual silver medal for India!! Of course one may argue about

how it is not enough for a country with 1 billion population etc it was a

touching and emotional moment for me when I saw Major RR wrap himself in the

Indian flag when receiving the medal and also when the indian flag was hoisted.

If you look at the progress we have made in the last three decades it is

amazing- I remember as a kid watching huge contingents coming back with not a

single medal. This and the last olympics has thrown up many more " top 5 "

finishers - it is reason to celebrate and gives hope for the future.
