Guest guest
So many different things can bring this on. I got mine from exotic birds.( big parrots) The pulmonologist says the direct blood contact with an imported African bird is what did it. ( combined with gurd). Anyone else get this from birds?? -- Re: chimey smoke Re: chimey smoke Hi Ann: Yup! That smoke can do you in. Many S. American people who cook with wood etc. without proper chimnes suffer from lung deases. Might be part of my problem we burned wood for twenty years. Walt Hi everyone,I just wanted to say that the reason my asthma turned into COPD was frombreathing in wood smoke. I know some people can't avoid heating theirhomes any other way, but please be careful.Anneliese

Guest guest
Re: chimey smoke/ other ways too Hi Treva: Hopefully if we get past the name calling fighting here and we can turn you on to updated cures for your condition. Read what we are discussing on PCR testing, and cures of things found. Old medicine is way off base on these things. I see a WRONG diagnoisi on me and a CURE just around the corner. Each thing I do for myself gettig away from old medicine has cured or helped me. I'm excited! That Treva is the difference between the old medicine and the new. Lets hope we all here find and siupport each other as a family not a bunch of combatants solving nothing our misunderstandings in our quest towards helping people, and our own conditions. Walt Hi Walt, Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you. You askedhow my asthma was diagnosed. My doctor admitted me to St. sHospital in Little Rock Arkansas. I was there a month. They did a sputumtest. Also blood work and they also put me in a tunnel like machine andran some kind of dye stuff in me thru an iv and looked inside me from myhead to my waist. Did a number of other things but it's been so long agoI can't remember them all. I was told I had chronic allergies, severeasthma, and copd. I was given a list of things to avoid and sent homewith a mountain of meds. Today , thank God I have gotten myself offeverything except Albuterol and prednisone. And I only take 15mg. ofPrednisone and use my machine when I get ready for bed at night now.Believe me it has been no picnic but I am finally getting better. It hasmeant giving up a lot and totaly changing my lifestyle. But it has beenworth it all. Treva

Guest guest
so sorry,i will stop sending the graphics. sorry about that. I just said that I have been sick for about 3 yrs now with this. Funny that you mentioned pneumonia, I had 2 severe bouts with it prior to the asthma. I found that curious. I had a direct blood to blood exposure with this particular bird and she wasn't banded so probably a smuggled bird. Blood to blood exposures are rare. The local doc's never even picked up on the possibility that it was something I could have gotten from birds even though I told them about the exposure. I had to go out of town to a specialist who asked if I'd been around parrots before I could offer the info. Interesting info you sent. Thanks. -- Re: chimey smoke/ other ways too Dear Dawn, Have mercy, I have an old computer laptop, with a small monitor and your background to your posts take long to download and are almost impossible for me to read..I love the fall leaves, but also would like to read what you have to share..
