Guest guest
Vickie, This sounds serious. I'm afraid I would be a nervous wreck till I knew for sure the cause. I hope he got things checked out; if not, please encourage him to. I agree with you about the movie. I've seen it twice and enjoyed it every bit as much the second time. Please let us know how your hubby is doing. Love, Barb

Guest guest
Hi Vicki, did he get checked out? I would have been very nervous too. By the sounds of it - it seems you must have got a result from a doc saying it was Anxiety did you? Well the point is before I left Toronto, my boss who had his life in a 14 year old business that was going bankrupt suddenly was dx with Anxiety attacks. He had to pull over on the highway in Toronto because before he was dx he thought he was having a heart attack. He also felt so closed in and had to stop and get out of the car. He was a very strong and proud man, so when he told us this we listened. He would have never complained about anything he thought he could handle. Well when he came in the office that day it was like he seen a ghost and he was Japanese. He was snow white, scared us all. So the chest pain I do believe comes along with an attack. But I would want to know for sure if that is what it is. Take Care Sheri Hope this helps. MORE CHEST PAINS Hi Everyone!!! I hope everyone is doing well...(sue, hang in there... things are gonna get better... sorry to hear about you dog, I'll say a prayer for you..wrap your arms around your body and squeeze tight... that a big hug from all of us) Last night Mike and I went to the movies, we went to see a beautiful mind, (which was excellent by the way) anyways, Mike started having some awful chest pains again and it cont. down his left arm and it became numb. It lasted for about an hour and a half. i was scared to death of course but he refused to leave the theatre and all i could do was try to act ok with it and watch the movie... I'm not sure if he was feeling bad that i might miss the movie because of him or he was embarrassed... What the heck can i do to make him realize that i could care less if I don't see the movie... uuuugggg. anyways i helped him out of the movies and drove home. He was a mess last night.. well, i was wondering again if you all still think it's anxiety. does anyone get these types of pains? and what do you do. take care... Guest guest
Yes Vickie, The first thing I do is head for the Emergency Room of the closest Hospital. The symptoms that you described sound like a possible heart attack. That is just my opinion but I had a heart attack in my Doctors office. I have also had three open Heart surgeries. I would most definitely get him to his Doctors and have him checked out. The old saying better safe that sorry! Please ask him or TELL him to go to the Doctors. Guest guest
hi Vicki, I'd have to agree with the others. This could be anxiety, but needs to be checked out to be sure it's not the heart. It is also possible that Mike could be experiencing some- thing called CostoChondritis. I would wake up during the night, and think there was a heart attack going on! (Still do from time to time) also pain down the left arm, could not breathe well etc. A lung and heart specialist diagnosed me as having this CostoChondritis. He said it mimics a heart attack sometimes. What happens is the area in the upper chest becomes inflamed from the disease, stress, and being overtired can bring it on. He also told me that the *only* thing I could do for it was to temporarily up my steroids. Please see Mike's doctor and tell him about his chest pain to hopefully rule out heart problems...before thinking it is something else. tricia wega2@...
