Guest guest
Today I received a letter which, assuming is true, is from the children of a borderline parent and partner. This is why I wanted a support group for kids. However, the purpose of this list right now was for adults to meet and talk about all the possible ramifications of such a group, such as legal, moderation, discussion of BPD or not, mix of kids, dangers, identity issues, etc etc etc. Since I don't have kids and the people on this list mostly do have BP partners (and perhaps kids), it seems best that this decisions be yours. However, I am currently writing the SWOE workbook for New Harbinger and cannot moderate this list, ensure that whose who are there should be, or take on the legal responsibilities. ly, moderating what I have plus writing a book plus the rest of my life is plenty. Therefore I am eliminating WTOKids as soon as this message goes out. It's too sensitive and must be done right since we're talking about minors. If anyone wants to take the reins and use any WTO list or any other non-BP list to communicate about the formation of another group to pursue this, you have my blessing. I hope someone does, because there's a five times greater chance that the children of people with BPD will grow up to be borderline themselves. If someone does this, I will refer the emails to them. Other than that I really don't have any answers at this point. Perhaps one of the smaller non lists can take it on.
