Guest guest
Ilene, That rings SO true for me. I still hear about the birthdays that had passed (even when I was much younger) when I didn't get her a card. Didn't matter if the gift was fabulous - I didn't get her a stupid card!!!! I got a laugh out of reading your post. xoxo, Crissie greeting cards > > > Yep, I always had that problem , too! Maybe that's why I seldom give them to anyone and ask my family not to waste money giving them to me. >> Yo Other O's, I just quit sending cards and gifts to my MM at all. I let her birthday just pass for the last 4 years (after a major ape-fit at ThanksGobble). I didn't call, write, visit, send a card or gift or anything. I figure I wouldn't send a card or gift to someone else who has raged at me, so why send one to MM. Maybe Hallmark should have a sub-division called " Apallmark: When You Dare Enough to Send the Very Worst " . ;-) I may just call up Hallmark and suggest that since I live in Kansas City, MO or just drive the 10 miles to Crown Center. How about an upside-down crown as their logo since MM has toppled my world. <splaaaat>. ;-D Respectfully submitted from my whoopie cushion in Kansas City, MO. ;-) Rita " And she'll have fun, fun, fun till her daddy takes the keyboard away. Guest guest
<< Maybe if we all gang up on Hallmark and lobby for the Apallmark cards, they'll put a rush for V-day (Thanks so much for being the worst you could be. In the next life maybe it'll be you and not me). That and a dozen black roses. >> Yo Other Os, , ROTFLatulence! Black Roses. LOL! Guest guest
You guys are utterly hysterical! I needed a good laugh The best card I ever got for nada was actually for her and my dad's anniversary. It was a humorous card that wished them a happy anniversary and then went on and on about the best thing that came out of their marriage -- ME! I got a big kick out of it. I can't remember other examples, but I've managed to find a few cards that could have " double meanings " -- one for her and one for me! I usually find this to be satisfactory! --Anon --- sandy beaches wrote: > Rita, > > I think that is a loverly idea, and I will walk halfway 'cross country to > meet you!
