I am very interested in help for sinus problems as well as keeping my asthma

at bay.I went to a Pulmonologist recently, but my asthma had been so bad

that he concentrated on it only. I think I will go back and see what he can

do about my sinus problem. Thanks for the idea.

I have had asthma for 20 years and am now on Advair twice a day, have a

Nebulizer when I need it,have Albuterol with me at all times, and take a big

Guaifenesin tablet twice a day to keep my bronchials thinned out. I am good

on this system of treatment . My old system was Flovent,Serevent and

Abuterol. That system failed to work after awhile.

Keep those ideas coming our way.

Regards, Jeanne B.

Sweetie,

The pulmonolgist is not going to help you with your sinus problems.

His specialty is your lower respiratory system. You need to see an

E,N & T man or woman. That is an Otolaryngologist. They specialize in

upper respiratory problems.

Sweetie?

That's a little condescending, Kim. And you are wrong and obviously didn't see my post, to which the writer was responding, regarding MY visit to MY pulminologist. It is available in the archives, for you to see. You may then want to apologize to the person you jumped on.

Sue.

Jeanne,

Contrary to what you are being 'told' Pulmonologists treat MANY different symptoms as MANY things trigger asthma, I don't need to post them because we all suffer from them everyday.

I have been having terrible heartburn, the nurse practitioner, GAVE, I repeat GAVE me Previcid SAMPLES, that they had right there in the office. WHY, because heartburn is a major trigger of Asthma. If you have asthma and have a Pulmonologist ANYTHING that triggers asthma he/she should cover. MY NURSE PRACTITIONER FROM THE PULMONOLOGISTS, sent me for a cat scan for my sinuses, if she can do that then a pulmonologist certainly can. You may email me personally (poodlemummy@...) if I can help you with any information. I would never want you or anyone else to be intimidated to ask ANY question that you think may be relevant to help with a control or cure of your symptons/asthma.

Very kind regards. Sue.

Ps. For your information this group is unmoderated therefore people are able to be mean and cruel without repercussion, except of course, for making fools of themselves.

,

I address you by name even though you did not sign your email.

The fact that you have only been a member of this group for three days and have never posted before, really makes it very obvious that you have not taken the time to get to know this group, the antics and the fact that it is unmoderated before you posted.

Your email would assume that you had done your homework!!!

But to address your comment, can we move on.... hopefully we can. If people are not intimidated to be able to discuss their issues with asthma without being jumped on, or made to feel small. Funny, I thought that was why we were all here! Although I am starting to think that some are here for different reasons. I, , for your information. came here looking for help, others are trying to do the same, they don't need to be attacked in that goal.

If you came here to play school mistress, I think there are other groups for that, but you would need to do your homework before playing!

Sue.

A general Ps.

I am not even on Prednisone, but I am tired of genuine questions and comments on asthma constantly being shot down by people who obviously have other agendas. If you are not here to discuss ALL aspects of asthma, WHY are you here? And to give false information without doing the research is just NOT acceptable when people are in desperate need of information and help.

Re: Re: Pulmonologists and sinus problems

Hi Folks: I must have missed the intimidation post? So far I am wondering what has ruffled some feathers here.

I have Barretts Asphagus from years of acute acid reflex. But I now have it under control without medicines like previcid etc. Simple diet changes do wonders. Found out I had a bacteria infection called Helico Bacter Pylori. After a ten year fight its cured. The VA is SLOW folks finding things.

Hi,

I was in no way being condescending. I meant that sincerely.I do

admit that I did not see your original post. I will try to check out

all of the information next time. Thanks.

My name is in the email line. That makes it sufficiently clear who I am.

Actually your name is NOT in the email line as you can see above, it is just your email address. I did my homework, so I could address you properly. Or I may have had to make something up. Hmmmm.

It’s true I am a new member, but I didn’t join the list to listen to bickering. Also, the fact that I’m new doesn’t make my input any less important or valid than anyone else’s.

Neither did I, your input was rude towards me so I have a right to respond. You don't see your email as bickering though huh? DUH!

I have done my homework, not that this is any of your concern. This comment was simply intended to be an insult.

The comment I made was based on your email. If you write such things, then expect a response. I have asthma, I'm not DEAD.

YOU were the one who jumped on the previous poster calling her condescending because she said that pulmonologists don’t treat sinus problems.

See right here you are WRONG!!!! condescending was regarding addressing the email to 'Sweetie' Gosh how wrong can you be and still be motivated to move on through the alphabet? Amazing!

This error/ misinterpretation of your post should have been seen and understood by the previous poster by now.

When you call someone sweetie, when unlike you, they have signed their email, to me that is condescending. If you look back, which obviously you have not done, you would see that Kim recently got upset at another member who is NOT English speaking as a first language, for misunderstanding her email.

I came here to get help and to be helpful to others which is why I made the comment I did. I think you have beaten this dead horse more than enough.

Well, that is your opinion, but fortunately we ALL have one and are allowed to express it. How is your dead horse doing after this email?

Your PS in the last email made it more than clear that you are more interested in flaming that poster than helping anyone else, just as this post makes it clear that you are more interested in flaming me.

Really? Well, this truly says a lot about your interest in this group and the fact you choose not to read archives to educate yourself. And what does that say about your response here? I should allow you to publicly attack me and let you? LMAO HONEY, I don't think so.

YOU ARE THE ONE WHO MADE COMMENTS ABOUT THE FACT THAT NO ONE CAN STOP MEANAND CRUEL POSTS HERE—NOT ME. I’m not buying the statement that these are typical “antics†on this list. You were being snide, and you know it, just as you were in this message.

I absolutely was upset that someone would be that condescending to another member who had posted a legitimate post and was being given wrong information and what I felt was in a derogatory fashion. Please see Kim's last email, and eat crow.

If you come to the list in the spirit that you say you do, you wouldn’t have sent the previous two emails.

And if you had done your homework you would see that recently we had another member attack someone for their opinion, and made it very personal and totally against everything that this group represents and stands for, as in the description. So to say that the group is a little sensitive right now is an understatement. Not that you would know that as you have chosen not to read archives, but to jump right into a new group with your opinion. Well, you're going to go far.

I didn’t join this list to play school mistress,

A. B. C. D. E. ..............REALLY YOU COULD HAVE FOOLED ME!

but I also didn’t join it to listen to preachy members that seem more concerned with just venting than with getting or giving true help WHICH IS WHY I MADE MY COMMENT.

If you choose to question me in any way, I will return the response every time. I can tell you now I will not back down. WHY, because I believe that what I have come to this group for and have brought to this group has been important information. But I will not stand by and watch people be attacked for no reason, as I will not stand by and allow you to attack me.

So be aware, you have met your match. I will though now ignore your posts as I feel your reasons for being here are not legitimate.

I think you have information that could be helpful to people if you moderated your attitude.

Attitude? Look whose talking and this is your first email. Great start.

I have no more to say about this subject. As I indicated earlier (twice now) I think we should move on. I am sure others feel the same way.

This is your way of moving on? And you expect me to read this, lay down and what? If you attack someone or their email you better believe you are going to hear back from them or you are not on this planet. I am not sure what your agenda is, I am all ready bored with it.

Lets do this, I have no interest in hearing anything you personally have to impart at this point. Anyone who joins a group, does not introduce themselves and jumps on a member the way you did, is not here to add anything but grief. Move on, as will I.

I have responded to this email, publicly, if you have anything else to add you have my email address and I would love to deal with you where I can express myself fully. You get my gist.

By the way, Welcome to the group. Sue.

Ps. Thank you to all the members that have emailed me privately.

Hi Kim!

I think you are the person who posted about

having panic attack in sleeping! well,I have also

noticed sometimes like today on early morning when I wake up

I get a mild anxiety attack with out any reason.

I dont call it as a panic attack.Infact the anxiety

is very mild (less than I experience in some " real "

anxiety situation),may be I have very mild palpitation,

and some *uncharacteristic* & *unknown* fear which

goes automatically after one hour.I even dont know

what may be the exact cause,is it due to Asthma or

SA,just thought to share and hope you are doing well!.

be well!

Many Greetings,
