Guest guest
Thank you all for the kind thoughts. I can relate to how much hurt there is when a parent can not get close enough to their own child to hug, kiss, embrace, laugh, play cards etc. because the child is fearful. The biggest issue for this family is the distance not the germs. Over the past several weeks the pain and frustrations have been a common theme for this family. The suggestion was to help get the closeness between parents and child while fulfilling the needs of the child. If the child's needs are met maybe just maybe a parent can finally kiss their child good night. If a surgical mask is what I had to give my daughter so I could hold her and love her and show my warmth then I would take the risk. The germs could be step two. I am not pulling out of the group, I will just keep my thoughts to myself and remain in the shadows.
